Dreadsling Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: October 15, 2026

Dreadsling is an Early Alpha game. We store your character online so you can keep your progress. Suggestions are optional and do not require your name or email. Advertising services have their own data practices, described below.

This policy applies to Dreadsling, including the Android application com.rsaldano.dreadsling, its online character service, player-feedback service and these privacy pages. “We” means the independent Dreadsling developer, based in Argentina. You can reach the developer through the privacy contact form; no account is required.

1. Information used to operate the game

The game does not ask for your contacts, precise GPS location, photos, microphone recordings or a real-name login. You do not need to provide your email to play or send an ordinary suggestion.

2. Suggestions and privacy requests

Ordinary in-game suggestions contain your message, a random submission ID, game version, platform and a server timestamp. They are not linked by our feedback service to your character or installation identifier. The developer reads them in a private inbox to improve the game. Please leave personal information out of suggestions.

If you use the separate privacy contact form, we store the message and any reply email or character reference you choose to provide, along with a request ID, platform label and timestamp. Providing those optional details makes that request identifiable. We use them to respond to and investigate the request; they are not required for ordinary suggestions.

3. Advertising, consent and platform services

Dreadsling integrates Unity LevelPlay mediation, Unity Ads/ironSource advertising technology and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). Ads may be unavailable in Alpha builds while their configuration is being completed. When enabled, the advertising services may process advertising or other device identifiers, IP address, approximate location inferred from it, device/OS/app information, consent signals, and ad-viewing or interaction events for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and, when permitted, personalization. The data actually processed depends on your choices, device settings and the services enabled.

Google UMP requests privacy-choice information and displays consent messages where required. Consent decisions can be stored locally and shared with the configured advertising partners. When UMP requires a privacy-options entry point, you can revisit it through Settings → Privacy Choices. You can also manage advertising identifiers and privacy controls in Android settings. Declining personalization does not necessarily remove all ads.

Google Play may process information when you use its store or rating features. The developer does not receive the text of a private in-app rating interaction through the game's save service. Real-money purchases are not enabled in the current Alpha; future purchase features will require an updated disclosure.

Provider details and choices: Unity game-player privacy policy (including Unity advertising services), Google privacy policy, and Cloudflare privacy policy.

4. Why we use and share information

We use game records to provide online play, save and restore progress, process rewards and crafting, maintain attempt history, protect save integrity and operate the service. We use submitted messages to provide support and improve Dreadsling. Cloudflare Workers and D1 host the game records, feedback and privacy pages. Advertising and platform providers process information as described above; their policies explain their respective roles and additional uses.

We do not sell your character inventory or ordinary feedback messages. Advertising-related sharing may be considered a sale or sharing of personal information under some laws; the available consent and provider privacy controls apply to that processing. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to investigate misuse and protect the service.

Where a legal basis is required, we rely on providing the service you request for necessary game processing, legitimate interests in security and support where applicable, legal obligations where required, and consent for processing that requires it. These bases depend on the processing and applicable law.

5. Storage, retention and security

We use HTTPS in transit, credential hashes on the character server, and a password-protected feedback inbox. No system can guarantee absolute security. Providers may process data outside Argentina and outside your country, including in the United States and other locations described in their policies.

In this Alpha, cloud character records, attempt history and save receipts do not have an automatic expiry schedule. Feedback and privacy requests also remain stored until removed by the developer. We review retention as the service develops and handle verified deletion requests through the contact process. Information may need to be retained where required for legal obligations, security or resolving disputes; provider backups and independent provider records are subject to their own retention practices.

6. Your choices and requests

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of information, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, or complain to the appropriate data-protection authority. Use the privacy contact form for questions or requests, including deletion requests. Include a non-secret character reference if available and an email if you want a reply. We may need to verify that the records belong to you before disclosing or deleting them. Never send login secrets, passwords, bank details or identity documents through this form.

Privacy requests are reviewed by the developer; the web form does not instantly delete a character. Deleting cloud progress is irreversible. Deleting the app alone does not submit a deletion request.

7. Children and changes

Dreadsling contains fantasy combat. The current Alpha does not ask players to enter their age or include an age-verification feature. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information, please use the privacy contact form so we can investigate and handle removal requests.

As features change during Early Alpha, we will update this page and its date. Material changes will also be communicated in the game when appropriate. Check this page for the current policy.
